Words Like Trees
A Flamboyant God
God says he’s like a tree… or trees are like him. But what about those trees that are nothing but colorful, bright, and obnoxiously beautiful?

Post by Jennifer Mehlenbacher. A little adventure perfect for someone who was not very large, full of trees, and love, and books, and God and other cool things!
Trees have feelings too… I think. But it seems important that they do. Partly because they show us how we’re supposed to treat our own emotions.
We usually want our words to show people how human we are. And as we tell people about who God is, we want people to know that God relates to humans on so many levels. I’d rather people hear how much like a tree I am–and how tree-like God can be.
The things we can measure (size for example) don’t determine value. Life is about being the best version of yourself wherever you are planted. That’s true for trees. That’s also true for people.
